The road to the keep is the enemy’s way in. Make every crossing count. Raise a line of towers, move the Warden where the pressure is greatest and time your spells before the next wave reaches the gate.

Defend The Broken Gate through five waves. The demo contains one stage and six tower choices. It does not include the rest of the campaign, contracts, replay challenges or Endless Siege.

Full desktop edition: US$1.99. The download includes all five worlds, 25 campaign stages and the full replay modes. There are no in-game purchases.

How to play

Select a foundation, then select a tower from the build menu. Choose Send Wave when ready. Select a built tower to upgrade it, change its targeting or sell it.

Move the Warden with the arrow keys or the on-screen joystick. You can also choose ORDER in battle options and select her destination. She attacks nearby enemies automatically.

Select EMBER, SIGHT or STRIKE, then its target on the battlefield. Use CANCEL to abandon an aimed action. Space pauses; Q/W/E select the three spells. Drag the battlefield with the mouse to pan. Battle options include zoom and hero focus.

Music and sound effects are enabled for new players and start after your first click, tap or keypress. Settings keeps your chosen volume and mute preferences. If you played an older version, choose Enable sound when prompted. The Warden’s portrait and practical orders are also in Settings.

Development and compatibility

In development — version 1.1.1. Desktop browser is recommended. For phone browsers, use landscape; phone-control testing is ongoing. No Android app download is included.

The full portable desktop download is a ZIP: extract it completely, then open index.html in your desktop browser. No game account is required. Downloaded-file compatibility testing is ongoing.

Progress and settings stay in your browser. Export a save from Settings after a session and before updating, clearing browser data, or changing browser or device. Unfinished battles are not saved. Moving a downloaded game file can affect local browser storage; keep your exported backup separately. Importing a backup replaces the destination profile after confirmation.

No multiplayer, cloud saves or advertising. Browser hosting and the store have their own policies, separate from the game.
